Our Chunky Coffee Table is a beautiful living room or lounge centrepiece, ideal for that rustic and industrial feel. This piece is beautifully handcrafted by our passionate TRL team and finished using an oil or wax that penetrates the timber to create protective layers. The legs are tri-legs legs in shotgun grey raw steel. We also offer an extensive range of sizes to ensure our piece can fit any home.

I’m a fan of this chunky wood coffee table because its thick, reclaimed‐style top and simple metal legs combine durability with a straightforward, no-nonsense look. It sits perfectly in industrial, farmhouse or Scandi-modern living rooms and its generous footprint (100 cm square) makes it a practical anchor for sofas and armchairs.
To style it, keep accessories minimal: a low, matte ceramic tray with a small plant or candle, a neat stack of art books and perhaps a single decorative bowl. The weight (49 kg) and limited assembly mean it feels solid and permanent, so balance the raw wood with softer textiles around it - think a cosy wool rug and linen scatter cushions to soften the overall scheme.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
