Description

Design. Sleek and sophisticated, the Hancock dining table will prove to be a striking and timeless addition to your home. Crafted solely from mango wood, this table is a solid investment. With three sizes available the Hancock dining tables cater for 4 to 8 people at one sitting, great for entertaining and ensure you'll find the ideal size for your dining space. Integrate the matching Hancock bench into your dining range for a gorgeous contemporary finish with the additional benefits or more spacious and communal seating. We Recommend: The 165cm table is best placed with the 130cm bench. The 180cm table with the 153cm bench, and the 220cm table with the 190cm bench.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Hancock dining table for its simple yet sturdy design, which makes it highly versatile. Its salvage deep grey finish lends it an industrial-chic feel, perfect for modern or rustic interiors. It works well as a statement piece in open-plan kitchens or dining rooms that embrace neutral and earthy tones. For practical styling, consider pairing it with a mix of wooden and metal chairs to enhance its raw, salvage aesthetic. Adding a colourful or textured runner can soften the look and introduce warmth. This table excels in both casual family dining and more pared-back contemporary spaces, giving you plenty of flexibility to adapt it to your personal style.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
