I’m a fan of this grand-walnut corner desk for its warm tone and clean, uncluttered silhouette. The L-shape maximises work area without overwhelming a room, so it slots neatly into industrial, Scandi or mid-century schemes. The built-in shelves and drawer keep paperwork organised yet within reach, while the solid panels give it a sturdy, streamlined look.
For styling, I’d add a minimalist black task lamp and a couple of woven baskets in the lower cubby to tame loose bits. A small Ficus or snake plant on one end brings a fresh pop of green against the walnut, and a slim floating shelf or gallery wall above helps extend storage without eating into your desktop.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
