Description

The Hamilton oak sideboard with 2 doors and 3 drawers has a clean, contemporary silhouette, feature planked doors and a lot of personality. The sideboard has solid oak doors and drawers, and a wild grain veneered top and side panels. The panels raise it off the floor, creating a lighter footprint that doesn't dominate. Exclusive to Habitat, the sideboard offers generous storage for tableware, glasses, linens and more. A 2-door Hamilton sideboard is also available.

Our Stylist Says

I love this sideboard because of its clean, minimalist design and the warmth of the oak finish, which makes it versatile for a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary and Scandi-inspired spaces, adding a natural texture without feeling heavy. Practical styling tips include using the top surface for decorative objects like vases or lamps, while the ample storage inside helps keep clutter out of sight. For a cohesive look, pair it with neutral tones or soft textiles, and consider adding a rug or artwork nearby to create a welcoming, functional area in your living or dining space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
