Made of solid oak with oak veneers. Wood’s darker knots and splits give a handmade appearance. 2 open shelves and 2 cupboards with no shelves. Soft-close drawers and doors have elongated metal handles. Metal feet and distinctive metal framing at either end. Cut-outs for cables make this piece perfect for a media storage. Confident design and mixed materials for an on trend urban look. The wood used for this furniture is a unique product of nature, not one piece of wood is equal in shape, structure and colour. In time, the furniture will obtain a lighter and warmer colour through use and exposure to light, colour differences in comparison to showroom models are therefore expected.

I’ve been reaching for this Detroit sideboard whenever I want a clean-lined media unit that still feels warm. The oak-effect top and doors paired with the grey metal trim works equally well in Scandi-inspired schemes or pared-back industrial rooms. The two open shelves are perfect for a small soundbar or a few neatly stacked coffee-table books, while the cupboards hide games, cables and remotes. To style, I’d anchor a mid-sized TV centrally, then offset one side with a sculptural vase and a low-profile plant to keep the eye moving. Use baskets inside the cupboards for organising DVDs or controllers, and let the metal legs give it a floaty look by keeping the floor around it clutter-free.
