Description

A side table with serious style. Artfully designed, Zelda has rounded curves in all the right places. Crafted from mild steel with a protective powder coating, she's made of strong stuff too. A smart choice for smaller spaces, Zelda's compact and easy to move around. An effortlessly cool perch for your cuppa.

Our Stylist Says

I love this black side table for its sleek, sculptural form that adds a modern edge to any interior. Its bold shape makes it not just functional but also a statement piece. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist settings, where its clean lines and monochrome colour can be fully appreciated. A practical styling tip is to keep the surface clear for everyday use, but it pairs beautifully with textured objects like a woven lamp, a ceramic vase, or a stack of art books to create visual interest. It’s versatile enough to sit beside a sofa for cosy drinks or as a bedside table with a simple lamp and a small plant for a relaxed and stylish look.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
