Description

Our Xylo nesting tables are made to show off the fantastic solid wood of their walnut-stained ash veneer. We love this style where retro meets modern, wide legs, bevelled top and a matt varnish. Dark, rich and very homely. Plus so practical to nest, and great to show off side by side. Just add an organic ceramic and wait for the complements to flow.

Our Stylist Says

I love the way these two tables bring versatility and warmth to a variety of interiors, especially those with a modern or Mid-century vibe. Their walnut finish offers rich, natural tones that add a touch of sophistication, while the nesting design makes them practical for smaller spaces or flexible arrangements. You can style them separately next to armchairs or sofas, or keep them stacked for a neat, streamlined look. They work particularly well in living rooms with neutral or earth-tone palettes, and their sturdy solid wood construction lends durability to everyday use. For a polished look, pair them with minimal accessories like a plant or a sleek lamp, or use the smaller table as a side surface for drinks or books to keep space functional yet tidy.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
