Our Stylist Says
I absolutely love the Habitat X William Morris Hyacinth headboard for its rich, classic design that lends a sophisticated yet cosy feel to any bedroom. It works particularly well in interiors with a vintage, eclectic, or traditional style, bringing a touch of heritage charm. For styling tips, pair it with linen or velvet bedding in muted tones, allowing the intricate floral pattern to remain the focal point, and add complementary accessories such as antique bedside lamps or brass accents to enhance its timeless appeal. This piece can anchor a room beautifully and elevate the overall aesthetic with its detailed tapestry-like fabric.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
