Description

Fancy a little bit of French farmhouse at home? Our multi-use sideboard is ideal for clutter-free living and is designed as a multi-use piece for every room in the house – even the hall. With a thick profiled wooden surface and soft white paint finish, it's a real good looker. Double doors with button handles open to interior shelves that provide plenty of storage potential. We're smitten.

Our Stylist Says

I love this white sideboard because of its classic yet versatile design, making it a fantastic addition to a range of interiors from coastal to Scandinavian styles. Its clean lines and natural wood details offer a fresh, understated look that can brighten up a space. It works particularly well in living rooms, dining areas, or even bedrooms for extra storage without cluttering the room. When styling, consider keeping the top surface minimal with a few curated decorative pieces like candles or plants, and utilise the interior for organised storage of essentials. Pairing it with both light and neutral tones will enhance its airy feel, while contrasting accessories in darker or bolder colours can add visual interest.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
