Description

Surround yourself with true beauty. The 2-seater Valerie sofa is thoroughly classic. From its turned front feet to its deep buttoned back. It exudes elegance. The luxurious, soft-to-touch velvet stands out with its rich flame red tone. Its elegant look will withstand ever changing interior trends. The best of British, Valerie is manufactured right here in the UK. It's been carefully crafted to provide the best comfort. We're in love with its traditional look.

Our Stylist Says

I love this sofa for its classic shape and luxurious flame velvet finish, which instantly adds colour and richness to any living space. It works particularly well in traditional or eclectic interiors where bold statement pieces are welcomed, but it can also act as a luxurious focal point in more modern settings. Practical styling tips include pairing with neutral or metallic accessories to let the vibrant hue stand out, or blending with patterned cushions for added texture. Its versatile size makes it perfect for smaller sitting rooms or cosy corners, and the velvet fabric offers a plush, inviting feel that’s great for relaxing. Just be mindful of its maintenance, as velvet benefits from gentle cleaning to keep its colour vibrant.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
