Description

Positively practical and packed with pizzazz. Our Valence Ladder Desk is a masterclass in minimalist design and effortless efficiency. Put against a wall, it will fit right in. Perfect for a small space and a multifunctional room. In shadow grey with rose gold metal it looks sleek, tranquil and very stylish. A laptop looks good on the desktop. The drawer keeps things neatly tucked away. And the top shelf is perfect for a little pop of personality. Make your home a show home. Take our ladder to success.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this ladder desk because of its clean, modern silhouette and versatile grey finish, making it a great fit for both contemporary and minimalist interiors. It works well in smaller spaces, such as compact home offices or creative zones, thanks to its open and airy design. Styling tips include pairing it with soft-toned accessories and rounded furniture pieces to add warmth, or contrasting it with bold colours for a more statement look. Its sleek, metallic legs make it suitable for a variety of decor styles, from industrial to Scandinavian, and adding a few decorative trays or plants on the shelf can help personalise the space and make it more functional.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
