Description

Make small spaces work for you with our white 4-seater drop leaf table. Designed in our Habitat studio, Toby is as minimalistic as it gets. Lift up one side and you've an instant breakfast or laptop spot. For a full table just open both sides. And when you need the floor space, Toby tucks neatly away. With cut out handles on the central pedestal it's a doddle to move. And you could pair with our folding chairs to save more room. A neat, sweet way to eat.

Our Stylist Says

I love this folding dining table for its versatility and clean, minimalist look. Its white finish makes it an easy addition to a variety of interior styles, from Scandi and modern to contemporary kitchens. The fold-away feature is particularly practical in smaller spaces or multi-use areas, as it can be easily stored when not in use. Styling-wise, pairing this table with light wood or colour-pop chairs can add personality and warmth, while keeping the overall aesthetic fresh and airy. For practical tips, consider adding a colourful runner or placemats to style it for everyday use, or dress it up with centrepieces when hosting for a more polished look. This piece works well in both casual family spaces or sleek city apartments, making it a smart, functional choice.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
