I really like the Habitat Tire Alabaster, or I should say, the ceiling pendant, because of its versatile and modern look. The combination of alabaster glass and brushed brass makes it an excellent fit for both contemporary and transitional interiors. It works well in dining areas or over kitchen islands, where its understated elegance can provide ambient lighting without overpowering the space. In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
