Description

With its pared-back design and plump, pillow-like seat and back cushions, the Teo yellow Jade velvet 2 searer has a fun feel and a small footprint. Created in the Habitat Design Studio and made in Europe, the contemporary foam and fibre sofa has a relaxed, informal look, enhanced by its wrapped cushion covers. Its armless design and dowelled wood legs give the design a light, airy feel, perfect for smaller spaces. Upholstered in our easy velvet fabric which is super durable and spill-resistant, its perfect for busy homes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this yellow velvet sofa for its bold colour and inviting texture, making it a statement piece that brings warmth and vibrancy to any space. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic interiors, where its lively tone can be balanced with neutral walls and minimal accessories, or paired with contrasting colours for a more playful look. Practical styling tips include layering with patterned cushions and throws to add depth, and keeping surrounding furniture simple to let the sofa stand out. Its size makes it ideal for cosy living rooms or as a pop of colour in larger open-plan spaces, providing both style and comfort.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
