Description

Designed by Habitat's in-house team, the Tatsuma walnut stained kingsize bed is a clean-lined design with a double rail headboard and elegant tapered legs. Part of the Tatsuma bedroom furniture range, the bed complements a variety of interiors and is also available in both ash and a walnut stained finish. Tatsuma is a standard UK size bed frame W150 x L200cm. This bed is designed for a UK size mattress, sold separately. The Tatsuma bedroom range extends to wardrobes, chests and bedside units.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bed frame for its sleek, understated appeal and the warm richness of the walnut finish. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, where clean lines and natural materials are focal points. The king size offers a sense of luxury and presence in larger bedrooms, while the simple design keeps things feeling uncluttered. Practical styling tips include pairing with neutral bedding and textured cushions to add softness, and considering bedside tables with a similar wood tone for cohesion. Its straightforward style also means it can easily adapt to more eclectic or modern interiors, making it a versatile choice that can grow with your interior updates.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
