Habitat Tatsuma Double Bed Frame - Walnut Stain
£305
Price History
Description
Our dreamy Tatsuma double is the perfect place for some serious R and R. Invitingly rounded headboard, tapered legs and a rich walnut finish bring handcrafted Skandi creds to this mid-century stunner. The elegant silhouette gives a light and airy feel. A great choice for a smaller space or the guest bedroom. It's high off the floor too, so there's plenty of room underneath for extra storage baskets and boxes. Add bright, modern print covers and plenty of pillows and chill in your haven of understated cool.
Our Stylist Says
I love this bed frame for its clean, timeless design and warm walnut stain, which adds a touch of natural elegance without feeling too traditional. It works well in both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors, particularly when paired with soft, neutral bedding and layered textures like cosy throws or patterned cushions. Practical styling tips include keeping accessories minimal to let the wood grain shine, and adding organic elements such as indoor plants or textured rugs to create a balanced, inviting space. This frame is versatile enough to serve as a statement piece in a minimalist scheme or blend seamlessly into more eclectic bedrooms.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
