Description

With elegant curved arms and deep seated cushions, the SWIFT loveseat piave velvet emerald sofa gives a nod to a mid-century design. Created in the Habitat design studio, it offers the upmost comfort with plump, feather filled seat cushions and scattered feather filled back cushions. Finishing touches include dark oak legs and stitch details along the curved arms. Upholstered in our most luxurious velvet, this cotton blend fabric has a deep pile so is extremely soft to touch while also being hardwearing.

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Swift Velvet Cuddle Chair in emerald green is a versatile piece that adds a rich pop of colour to both modern and more traditional interiors. I love its plush velvet finish, which brings a sense of luxe but also invites you to sit back and relax. It works particularly well in cosy corners or as a statement piece in a master bedroom or living room. For practical styling, pair it with neutral or earthy tones to let the colour stand out, and add layered cushions and a soft throw for added comfort. This chair’s compact size makes it ideal for smaller spaces or as an accent piece, bringing warmth and personality without overwhelming the room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
