Our Stylist Says
I love this little black cube unit for its versatile and contemporary look. It works well in a range of interiors-from minimalist and modern spaces to more eclectic or industrial settings. Its compact size makes it perfect for organising books, decorative accessories, or even small plants, adding a touch of organisation without clutter. For styling, I recommend mixing open and empty cubes with some coordinated storage boxes or baskets to keep things looking tidy. It’s also great for stacking or placing side-by-side for a larger storage solution, making it adaptable to different room sizes and needs. Its sleek black finish makes it a timeless piece that can effortlessly ground a space or serve as a striking contrast against lighter walls.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
