Description

Inspired by Cuisenaire rods, which are used to teach children to count in units. The Spectrum multi-coloured spoke wall clock has graduating colours and sizes representing the numbers 1 through to 12. Designed by Jon Almond exclusively for Habitat, the wall clock is a striking and colourful piece that will add a burst of colour to an otherwise plain room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this colourful wall clock for its playful yet modern aesthetic, making it a great statement piece in contemporary or eclectic interiors. Its multicoloured design means it pairs beautifully with neutral walls, adding a pop of colour and visual interest without overwhelming the space. It works well in home offices, living rooms, or even kitchens where a touch of colour can energise the environment. For styling tips, consider hanging it at eye level on a plain wall to highlight its vibrant design, and keep surrounding decor minimal to let the clock truly stand out. This piece offers both form and function, bringing a fun, stylish element to functional spaces.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
