Description

Offering form and function in equal measures, the Sona silver storage aluminium side table will take pride of place in your living room or bedroom. Featuring a statement hand etched design, this aluminium side table provides ample space for drinks, remote controls and a lamp. The addition of a removable lid for storage provides a great hiding place for throws and other bits you need but want to keep out of sight. Due to the nature of the design, each table is subtly unique. Part of the Sona range, the table is also available in copper and gold and as a coffee table.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table for its modern, hammered aluminium finish, which adds subtle texture and a cool, metallic glow to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, industrial, or Scandinavian styles, where its sleek silver tone complements neutral palettes and minimalism. Practical styling tips include placing it beside a sofa or bed for convenient surface space, topped with a lamp or decorative accents to create a layered look. Its rounded shape makes it versatile for small spaces, and the neutral silver hue means it pairs effortlessly with colourful or monochrome schemes alike.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
