Description

Offering form and function in equal measures, the Sona copper storage aluminium side table will take pride of place in your living room or bedroom. Featuring a statement hand etched design, this aluminium side table provides amble space for drinks, remote controls and a lamp. The addition of a removable lid for storage provides a great hiding place for throws and other bits you need but want to keep out of sight. Due to the nature of the design, each table is subtly unique. Part of the Sona range, the table is also available in silver and gold and as a coffee table.

Our Stylist Says

I love this copper side table for its sleek hammered finish and versatile rose gold hue, which can add warmth and a touch of sophistication to various interiors. It's particularly well-suited to contemporary and eclectic styles, where its metallic sheen can act as a statement piece. Practical styling tips include using it to display a minimalist lamp or a small tray of favourite accessories, while its rounded shape can soften sharper furniture lines. This piece works beautifully in living rooms and bedrooms alike, adding texture and an unexpected metallic element without overwhelming the space. Keep it uncluttered to highlight its craftsmanship and allow it to shine as both a functional and decorative element.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
