Description

Offering form and function in equal measures, the Sona copper storage aluminium coffee table will take pride of place in your living room. Featuring a statement hand etched design, this aluminium coffee table provides ample space for drinks, remote controls and a statement vase. The addition of a removable lid for storage provides a great hiding place for throws and other bits you need but want to keep out of sight. Due to the nature of the design, each table is subtly unique. Part of the Sona range, the table is also available in silver and gold and as a side table.

Our Stylist Says

I love this copper coffee table because of its versatile yet striking design. The hammered aluminium finish adds texture and visual interest, making it a standout piece that can elevate both contemporary and eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in spaces that combine warm metallic accents with natural or muted tones, such as neutral sofas and textured textiles. For styling, consider pairing it with a mix of sleek accessories and organic elements - perhaps a small stack of books, a ceramic vase, or a plant - to create an inviting focal point. Its rounded form also makes it perfect for softening angular furniture arrangements, adding a touch of warmth and sophistication to any living room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
