Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Silver Pill Wall Mirror works well in both modern and classic interiors, thanks to its clean, rectangular shape and subtle metallic edge. I love how versatile it is-it can effectively enhance small spaces by adding depth and light, or act as a statement piece above a console or fireplace. When styling, consider pairing it with minimalistic furniture for a streamlined look, or combine with textured or layered decor to add visual interest. Practical tips include hanging it at eye level in entryways or bedrooms to maximise functionality, and grouping it with smaller mirrors or decorative objects for a curated, layered effect. Its simple design makes it a great all-rounder for creating a bright, airy feel in any room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
