Description

Hand finished in Vietnam, the Silas black and white triangle vase will make a sophisticated addition to any home. With its bottle shaped silhouette combining black and white geometric shapes that give subtle contrast to the design, this vase is decorative enough to look attractive on its own or filled with a few stems. Silas will make a striking centrepiece to a console table or side table. Crafted from earthenware, we recommend using a coaster or mat underneath this vase to protect your surfaces. Size H37.5,. Diameter 14cm.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Habitat Silas vase for its bold geometric pattern and monochrome palette, which makes it versatile across various interiors. It works particularly well in modern, minimalist, or Scandinavian spaces, where its striking black and white design can serve as a statement piece. For practical styling tips, try pairing it with a few simple dried or fresh stems-like eucalyptus or tulips-to enhance its graphic appeal. It’s also great on side tables, shelving, or mantelpieces, where its pattern can be best appreciated. Keep it uncluttered around the vase to let its design speak for itself, and it will add a contemporary edge to any room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
