Description

Strong and sophisticated form. The Habitat Salisbury is beautifully crafted using top quality Italian semi aniline leather. It has a subtle creasing, to give this footstool a timeless distressed finish. We love the look of the wide wooden feet, that raise the it from the ground. The perfect pairing to the Salisbury collection, it features a smart storage compartment to keep all your necessities near-by. A chic choice.

Our Stylist Says

The Salisbury leather footstool is a versatile piece that adds a touch of sophistication to both contemporary and classic interiors. I love its clean lines and quality black leather, which ensures it’s both stylish and practical - perfect for use as extra seating, a resting spot for your feet, or even a discreet storage solution with its hidden compartment. It works particularly well in minimalist, industrial, or modern schemes where its sleek appearance can stand out, but it also pairs nicely with softer fabrics for a balanced look. Styling tips include placing it near a sofa with a throw or a couple of decorative cushions on top, creating a cosy yet functional corner. Its neutral tone means it’s easy to incorporate into most colour palettes, making it a reliable addition to various room settings.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
