Description

Short on space? With Roma we have both sitting and sleeping covered. Add a seating area and a guest bed all in one go. If a family member needs a place to crash, you'll be guest-ready. Roma looks every bit Habitat designed. Is it that orange fabric? Or maybe those angled wooden feet?

Our Stylist Says

I love the Habitat Roma Velvet Chairbed for its bold colour and versatility, making it a real statement piece that works well in both modern and eclectic interiors. The vibrant orange adds warmth and personality to a space, whether as a standalone feature or integrated into a coordinated colour palette. It’s practical too - perfect for small living rooms where you need a flexible piece that doubles as both seating and sleeping. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral tones or accent cushions in complementary colours to balance the intensity of the hue. It also works beautifully with natural textures like wood or metal for a contemporary look, while its plush velvet finish adds a touch of luxury. Overall, it’s an eye-catching, functional addition that can inject colour and comfort into a variety of interiors.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
