Description

Time for a big bed? The Rico low bed is perfect for little ones who have reached their 6th birthday or more. Made of sturdy FSC wood painted bright white, it's just the right height to clamber into and will have them sleeping soundly for years to come. Measuring L194cm W96.4cm and H60.6cm the bed includes a handy space saving drawer underneath. That's the kids clutter sorted. The slatted frame comes with a soft and comfortable no- turn mattress. Next step is to get them to make their own bed. Won't life be easy?

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Rico Low Bed Frame with drawers is a practical, stylish choice for children’s rooms, offering a clean, contemporary look that works well in various interior styles-from Scandi minimalism to playful, colourful schemes. I love its low profile, making it easier and safer for little ones to get in and out of bed. The integrated drawers are a real bonus for storage, helping keep clutter at bay and maximising space in smaller rooms. To style around it, consider soft pastel bedding or simple monochrome linens for a fresh feel, and add fun decorative cushions or tactile rugs to bring some personality into the space. It's versatile enough to pair with both modern and more traditional interiors, making it a reliable, all-rounder choice for a kid's bedroom upgrade.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
