Description

Modern, relaxed dining. Seat 6 in style with our Habitat dining table and chairs set. Beautifully crafted and showing off its deep grain, the solid oak dining table is a fine piece of furniture. And look at those smart midback dining chairs. The cream upholstery and solid beechwood are a contemporary combo. A padded seat and ergonomic shaped backrest is designed to support you all the way. So pull up a chair, settle in, the night is young.

Our Stylist Says

I love the combo of the sitcom radius oak table with the cream Alec chairs - it’s a versatile piece that works well across a variety of interiors, from modern minimal to classic rustic. The oak top brings warmth and texture, while the cream chairs keep the look light and inviting. For styling, consider pairing it with layered textures like woven placemats or soft fabrics to enhance its versatility. It also suits both casual family mealtimes and more formal dinner settings, especially when accessorised with modern tableware or statement centrepieces. Keep the surrounding space simple to let the natural wood and neutral tones stand out, or add colourful accents through accessories and textiles for a more lively vibe.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
