Description

Classically Habitat, Parker oak extending dining table is reminiscent of refectory style dining furniture. Designed in house and exclusive to Habitat, the table's solid oak construction and modern subtle design features reflect the authentic craftsmanship of each piece. Great for large family suppers or parties with friends, it can accommodate up to 12 people, using an extension leaf stored inside the table. The table is also in available in walnut stained ash and both have matching Parker benches.

Our Stylist Says

I love this extendable oak dining table for its blend of practicality and natural appeal. It works well in both contemporary and rustic interiors, adding warmth and understated elegance. The ability to extend from 8 to 12 seats makes it perfect for both everyday family meals and larger gatherings. For styling, consider pairing it with mix-and-match chairs for a relaxed, eclectic vibe or sleek upholstered options for a more polished look. Keeping accessories minimal and pairing with neutral or soft-toned tableware allows the natural grain of the oak to remain a focal point. This table is a versatile piece that brings functionality without compromising style.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
