Description

Naturally neat. Tidying your space just got easier with our vintage style storage baskets. Generously sized and crafted in a seagrass open weave they are as attractive as they are practical. Use them to stow everyday items, children's toys or even your laundry. Pop on the lid and hey presto, out of sight, out of mind. A clutter clearing trick. With easy grab handles on basket and lid, our storage set is easy to handle - simple, smart storage. Solution.

Our Stylist Says

I love these open weave baskets for their natural, understated appeal - they add texture and warmth without overwhelming a space. They're particularly versatile and work well in both contemporary and boho interiors, especially in living rooms, bedrooms, or bathrooms where they can double as stylish storage. Practical styling tips include using them for organising throws, magazines, or bathroom essentials, and their open weave makes for easy visual access. Pairing these baskets with other natural materials like wood, linen, or rattan can create a cohesive, earthy aesthetic, while their neutral tone ensures they seamlessly blend into most colour schemes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
