Description

Our TV unit Nel's got timeless good looks. With its clean and simple silhouette, your screen stands out centre stage. Made in real wood with a charming grained finish, it's practical too. The shelf below's just the spot for entertainment consoles. Plus the open design means easy cable access. So what's it going to be, sitcom or thriller?

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Nel TV Unit in black is a versatile piece that works well in both modern and minimal interiors, thanks to its sleek, understated design. I love its clean lines and functional structure, making it ideal for creating a streamlined media corner without overwhelming the space. It’s perfect for contemporary homes or even adding a touch of industrial chic to more eclectic settings. For styling, consider layering a few decorative items like books, vases, or artwork on the top shelf, while utilising the lower space for additional storage of remote controls or media accessories. Pairing it with contrasting textures, such as soft rugs or throw cushions nearby, can help soften the overall look and make the space feel inviting but still polished.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
