Description

Marvellous Matilda is waiting to welcome you home. With its vintage inspired design our 3 seater Matilda sofa feels comfortably traditional. Luxury velvet and turned wooden feet adds to the opulence. Ease into the softness. The fibre topped foam filled seat and back cushion are deliciously plump. And back cushions are reversible. You can flip them over and swap them around to avoid that sinking feeling. Comes with 2 velvet scatter cushions too. Luxury.

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Matilda 3-seater in light blue is a versatile piece that lends itself well to both contemporary and classic interiors. I love its soft velvet texture, which adds a touch of luxury without feeling overdone, making it ideal for cosy living rooms or relaxing social spaces. Its colour is calming and pairs beautifully with neutral tones or contrasting shades like mustard or charcoal for a more eclectic look. When styling, consider adding cushions in different textures and patterns to create visual interest, and incorporate metallic or wooden accents to complement the soft fabric. The sofa's elegant yet understated design makes it a practical choice, as it can anchor a room and serve as the perfect backdrop for a variety of decorative styles.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
