A rich mid-century walnut aesthetic meets simple scandi looks. Making Loxley one of our favourite designs. This 4-drawer chest of drawers shouts high end. From its deep soft close, easy glide drawers on metal runners to its circular turned wooden handles and classically styled plinth. Beautiful. Perfectly proportioned and practical. This Habitat piece is crafted predominantly in solid wood, echoing the organic principles and values of those early modernists, as popular today as they were in the 20th Century. Part of the Loxley collection. Made of oak and MDF. Wooden handles. 4 drawers with metal runners. Soft close. Packed flat - 2 people recommended (includes wall fixings). The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
