We've ensured Lomond can be easily disassembled into components, allowing its wooden frame and even legs, bolts and screws to be 100% recycled. And in the unlikely event of damage, this also makes it easy for our trained technician to call and mend it in your home. Offering a more supportive seat, the Lomond's cushions use 100% recycled fibre to create a relaxing, inviting look while offering controlled support. Hand made to order in the UK, the Lomond uses quality materials and traditional techniques for furniture that's unique to you. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
