Description

Snuggle up heaven. Soft cushions, plump arms and a deep comfy seat. Our Lisbon's soft luxe foam filling is just waiting for you to curl up and watch your favourite film. Designed for comfort and looks, it's an ingenious update on the classic scroll-arm armchair. Made to last with its solid internal hardwood frame and upholstered in a durable, soft woven fabric it is a stylish and timeless accent armchair. We love Lisbon.

Our Stylist Says

I love this habitat Lisbon armchair for its timeless beige fabric and plush, inviting shape. It's versatile enough to sit comfortably in both traditional and modern interiors, making it a great choice for living rooms or cosy corners. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral-toned cushions for a layered look, or add a patterned throw to introduce some texture. Its neutral colour allows it to work seamlessly with various colour schemes, from soft pastels to bolder hues. Practical tip: position it near a statement lamp or a side table to create a functional, inviting nook. This armchair's understated charm makes it a staple that can adapt and evolve with your interior updates over time.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
