Description

Room swoon. Soft cushions, plump arms and deep comfy seats. Our Lisbon's soft luxe foam filling is just waiting for you to sink into it. Curl up and get cosy to watch your favourite film. Designed for both comfort and looks and guaranteed to make your room feel like a home, it's an ingenious update on the classic scroll-arm sofa. With a solid internal hardwood frame and upholstered in a durable, soft woven fabric it is a stylish and timeless 3-seater. We love Lisbon.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Lisbon sofa for its clean, modern lines and versatile charcoal fabric, which anchors well in a range of interiors-from contemporary to more eclectic schemes. Its neutral hue makes it easy to style with colourful cushions or throws for a pop of personality, or keep it pared-back for a minimalist look. The size and shape make it a practical choice for both cozy family rooms and spacious open-plan living areas. For styling tips, consider pairing it with light wood or metal furniture to contrast the dark upholstery, and add textured textiles like woven rugs or knitted throws to soften its sleek silhouette. This sofa works particularly well in spaces where you want a sophisticated, understated backdrop that’s easy to update over time.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
