Description

All comfort, no clutter. This sleek faux leather ottoman double bed makes the most of a smaller space. With its hidden underbed storage it's a smart way to sleep and keep your stuff tidy. Sprung wooden slats add comfort to your mattress while the padded headboard is ideal for readers and breakfast in bedders. In fact, it's everything you want from a bed, and then some. Parts included can be found in the headboard.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bed because of its sleek, modern design and practical storage solution, perfect for maximising space in bedrooms of all sizes. The Habitat Lavendon is versatile enough to work well in contemporary, minimalist interiors, as well as in eclectic or industrial schemes where its black finish adds chic contrast. Style-wise, it’s ideal for adding a layer of organisation-use textured or patterned bedding to soften its clean lines, or keep it pared-back with monochrome textiles for a streamlined look. Practical tips include pairing it with under-bed storage baskets or organisers to keep clutter out of sight, making it a smart choice for city apartments or guest bedrooms where storage is key.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
