Price History

Description

A handsome dash of evergreen. Our large faux plant has lots of natural charm. At 51cm tall, with long, lush leaves it's a soothing sight. Sprouting from a basket like pot, it needs no water or sunlight. The solution to liven up halls and dark corners, but equally at home on a sunlit sill.

Our Stylist Says

I love this faux plant for its realistic look and versatile appeal, making it an easy way to bring a touch of greenery into any space without fuss. It works particularly well in modern, minimalist, or Scandi interiors, where clean lines and natural textures are key. To style it effectively, consider placing it in a simple, textured pot like the one shown, or pair it with other natural materials such as wood or rattan for a cohesive look. It's perfect for desks, shelves, or side tables - just ensure it’s positioned where it can be admired, but not mistaken for real. Practical tips include occasionally adjusting the leaves for natural appeal and cleaning the foliage to maintain its fresh appearance over time.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
