Price History

Description

The Kirby oak veneer and red gloss 4-seater dining table was created in the Habitat design studio with a subtle nod to the 80s. This oak veneer table is finished with contrasting red gloss powder coated legs to add a contemporary twist to an otherwise classic design, as well as bringing a touch of Habitat personality into your home. Great for smaller spaces, it has a sturdy top thats finished with a clear lacquer for durability. Part of the Kirby range, matching dining chairs are available alongside coffee tables, TV stands and desks.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table for its contemporary mix of natural oak and bold red gloss metal, which makes it a real statement piece. It works well in both modern and eclectic interiors-think minimalist schemes with a pop of colour, or more playful, vibrant spaces. To style it effectively, keep the surroundings simple to let the table shine, and consider pairing it with neutral or colour-coordinated chairs. Practical tips include using statement lighting overhead and adding a runner or centrepiece to create a focal point. Its durable materials also make it suitable for everyday use, so it’s both stylish and functional.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
