Description

How fab are these? Put those walls to work without taking up loads of space with this set of 2 yellow bookcase. Ideal for displaying children's books, small trinkets, photos and keep-sakes, they make the perfect display in any room. Our products are designed with kids in mind and are built to cope with everyday use. Tested to the latest safety regulations, they comply with British and European safety standards.

Our Stylist Says

This bright yellow set of two kids' bookcases offers a cheerful focal point for playrooms or children’s bedrooms, adding a lively splash of colour that’s perfect for fostering a playful, energetic atmosphere. It works well in contemporary or Scandinavian-style interiors where its clean lines and bold colour can stand out without overpowering the space. To style it, consider pairing with neutral or pastel storage bins and accessories to keep the look balanced, or complement it with colourful artwork and textiles for a vibrant, eclectic vibe. Practical tips include stacking books with bright covers facing outward for visual interest and keeping lower shelves accessible for little hands, making it both functional and fun.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
