Style up your kid's space with solid pine, a fresh designer look and stylish joinery with the Rico bedroom furniture collection. This low storage unit with hanging rail is made from FSC pine and has 2 deep trundle drawers on sturdy castors. Ideal for storing clothes, coats and dressing-up outfits. In untreated pine, you can paint or stain it to suit your style. Paints sold separately. Check out the rest of the Rico collection for matching items.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Rico Rail with Storage Unit for its practical yet simple design, making it versatile for a range of children's rooms. It works particularly well in calm, neutral interiors or spaces with a Scandi influence, as the pine finish adds warmth without overpowering the room. Styling tips include pairing it with soft textiles like cosy cushions or a fluffy rug to create a welcoming nursery or child's bedroom. Keeping clothes and accessories tidy inside the storage adds to its functional appeal, and it’s also easy to update as your child’s tastes change-simply swap out the stored items or hang colourful or patterned outfits for a playful touch.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
