Description

Colouring, crafts or homework. The Rico set provides space for the task at hand. A generous desk made from sturdy solid wood, there's plenty of room to let them explore their imagination. And the duo of drawers offer storage for stationery bits and bobs. A handy pew for 1 or 2, the matching bench slots in neatly underneath. Just the ticket for concentrating or creating.

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat kids Rico desk and bench is a versatile piece that works well in both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors, thanks to its clean lines and neutral white finish. It’s perfect for creating a dedicated play or study corner, especially in spaces where you'd like to encourage a calm, organised environment. Styling tips include adding colourful cushions or a small rug underneath to introduce warmth and texture, while a simple wall shelf or peg rail keeps things tidy and maximises space. This set is practical in smaller rooms where multi-use furniture is key, and its understated design allows it to blend seamlessly with a variety of decor schemes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
