Description

Inspired by country living. The Habitat Kent collection comes fully assembled, so you can put your feet up as soon as it arrives. Its chunky look with rounded edges make this a sturdy table, ideal for a busy household. The table top shows off the natural grains and knots of the wood. There's ample space on the surface for a round of teas. The two-tone finish offers homely charm.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this coffee table because of its versatile two-tone finish, which adds a touch of warmth and visual interest to a variety of interiors. It works well in both traditional and contemporary settings, especially in cosy living rooms or coastal schemes, where the natural oak tones complement neutral palette or soft pastel colour schemes. Practical styling tips include layering with textured accessories like woven trays, stacks of books, or ceramic bowls to create an inviting centrepiece. Its handy drawers and lower shelf make it both functional and stylish, perfect for keeping clutter out of sight while still showcasing decorative accents. Overall, it’s a timeless piece that balances practicality with understated charm.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
