Description
Fresh style. Kit out a contemporary living space with the Habitat Joshua sofa. If you like Scandi design, you'll love Joshua. With soft-touch fabric and foam-filled cushions, this understated sofa will offer firm back and bottom support, while retaining its shape for longer. Easy to wipe clean, and finished with tapered wooden legs, it's a brilliant buy for a modern space. A button-backed beaut.
Our Stylist Says
I love this sofa because of its clean, understated design and versatile light grey fabric, which makes it a practical choice for a range of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary spaces, Scandi-inspired schemes, or even cosy, eclectic homes where neutral tones help balance vibrant accessories. For styling, consider adding textured cushions or a throw in contrasting colours or patterns to add visual interest. Its neutral palette also makes it a great anchor piece around which to introduce colourful accessories or artwork, ensuring your living room feels styled but not fussy. The light fabric and simple silhouette lend themselves to both everyday use and more polished, minimalist aesthetics.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
