Description

Vibrant with a vintage feel. Our handsome set of wooden shelves offers a bright and sunny storage solution. Arrange books, papers, trailing plants or photo frames on the 3-tier unit. Painted white, yellow and black, the shelves make a bold statement in your lounge or study. And the sturdy oak frame gives this piece a neat and natural finish. Style with a smile.

Our Stylist Says

I love the habitat jive short shelving unit for its clean, minimalist design that lends itself well to various interiors, from Scandi-inspired spaces to modern casual rooms. Its compact size makes it versatile for smaller rooms or as a secondary display area in larger living zones. Practically, I recommend styling it with a mix of books, greenery, and decorative objects to create an inviting and personalised look. It works particularly well when paired with natural materials or light colours to enhance its airy feel, but can also contrast beautifully with darker hues or bold accessories for a more eclectic vibe. The simplicity of this piece makes it adaptable, so it’s perfect for adding organisation without cluttering the space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
