Description

The versatile Jessie oak bedside table with shelves provides generous storage and display space for books, accessories and a bedside lamp. Created in the Habitat design studio, Jessie has crisp lines in oak veneer with solid oak uprights. With 2 generous open shelves, this table looks equally at home next to a sofa or beside a bed.

Our Stylist Says

The Habitat Jessie Oak Bedside Table is a versatile piece that works particularly well in minimal or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, thanks to its clean lines and natural oak finish. I love how its simple design allows it to blend seamlessly into both contemporary and rustic settings. Practical styling tips include layering a small lamp or a clock on top, along with a few favourite books or plants placed on the shelf below. It’s also a great size for compact bedrooms, adding functional storage without overwhelming the space. Because of its understated aesthetic, it can be styled alongside richer textiles or textured bedding to add warmth and personality.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
