Description

Bang on trend with an electric TV lifting mechanism in the end - Jakob is what we call a transformer bed. Lean against the slanting headboard and watch your favourite shows. Flip down the headboard and ta'dah, hidden handy shelves for bedtime essentials. Jakob's king size frame also includes an ingenious gas lift mechanism to raise the side of the bed and reveal loads of storage space. Jakob scores high in looks and comfort too in soft woven fabric, buttoned headboard and with sprung slats for mattress support. But to top all that off, there's a place for your TV (up to 43") hidden away in the foot end, that has an electric lifting mechanism for a smart automated TV watching experience. Simply install your TV, and position your satellite box, DVD player or home cinema tech in the slot underneath the bed, connect everything up, and hey presto. You're good to go. VESA compatible mount with 100x100, 200x100, 200x200, spacings (horizontal x vertical distance between mounting holes on the back of the TV). Part of the Jakob TV collection. Upholstered frame. Our Stylist Says

I love this Jakob Kingsize TV ottoman bed for its practical design and versatile style. Its neutral, natural tone makes it a great base for both contemporary and classic interiors, adding warmth without overpowering the space. Because it doubles as storage, it’s ideal for bedrooms where space is at a premium, helping keep clutter out of sight. Styling tips include pairing it with textured bedding and soft throws to create a cosy feel, or accessorising with statement lamps and artwork above to bring in personality. It works particularly well in minimalist or Scandinavian-inspired rooms, but its clean lines also suit eclectic settings. Overall, it’s a functional yet stylish choice that adapts easily to a range of bedroom styles.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
