Price History

Description

Turn the lights down low! This striking shade in a stunning graphic design adds a pop of colour to any industrial decor. Eye-catching during the day, as dusk sets in it creates just the right mood for cosy evenings on the sofa. Our classic drum shape works three ways. Fit it as a ceiling shade in the lounge or on a lamp base by your bed. It fits on floor lamps too so you can add a dash of colour and welcome light to darker corners. Effortlessly diffuses the light to create a subtle, ambient glow. Very cool!

Our Stylist Says

I really like this industrial block print shade for its bold geometric pattern and versatile colour palette. It works particularly well in contemporary or urban interiors, adding a touch of visual interest without overpowering the space. I’d suggest pairing it with minimalist furniture or exposed materials like brick and metal to enhance its industrial vibe. Practical styling tips include using it in a living room or bedroom where you want a statement piece with a refined edge, and balancing its pattern with solid-coloured accessories to keep the look cohesive. It also suits paired with vintage or reclaimed elements, creating a curated, stylish feel.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
