Description

With clean lines and sumptuous proportions, it's no surprise our Hendricks sofa is a bestseller. Inspired by mid-century design and created in the Habitat design studio, Hendricks offers the upmost comfort with its low, wide arms and deep feather and fibre cushions for a casual, low-set seat. Finished stylishly with button detailing on the cushions. Made in Italy, this sofa is upholstered in our most luxurious velvet - this cotton blend fabric has a deep pile so is extremely soft to touch while also being hardwearing.

Our Stylist Says

I love this little armchair for its versatile, cosy appeal and rich Dusty Rose hue, which instantly adds warmth to any space. It works particularly well in eclectic and modern interiors, where its plush velvet texture can be layered with patterned cushions or contrasting throws for added depth. Practical styling tips would be to pair it with neutral-toned sofas to create a focused seating spot, or use it as a statement piece in a corner alongside metallic accents or natural materials like wood and rattan. Its compact size also makes it perfect for smaller rooms or as an accent chair in a living room or bedroom, making it both a functional and stylish addition.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
