We are big fans of this big wide chest. Perfect for a TV if you like goggle box nights in bed. Or dress it up with a mirror above or funky lamp or vase on the surface. But of course, it's the large roomy drawers that count to fold away everything from folded clothes and linens to tops and socks. 6 large drawers and 4 demi drawers - all on easy slide metal runners - provide more than enough space. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
